1/26 (Thursday) - Ride to Lookout Roadhouse - Leader Steve E.
According to the
weather man it is going to be in the high 70's next Thursday so I will lead a
ride to the Lookout Roadhouse above Lake Elsinore for lunch. We will leave
Fullerton HD at 9 am. I'm sure 99% of the ADA has been there, but not sure how
many have eaten there.
I looked up the menu from their web site and there are no prices????? Makes me
wonder if they will be a little expensive???? Went out to Yelp web site to see
what people thought about the food and 12 of 13 liked it, but a couple mentions
of "a little pricey". It is just sandwiches and hamburgers so it can't be too
bad.......I hope. At least the owners seem to be honest folk, see their
description of the place below:
GREAT RIDE, GREAT FOOD
GREAT VIEW, GREAT PEOPLE
AND LOUSY SERVICE...
BUT WE DO HAVE COLD BEER, AND A WEB-SITE!
NOT TO MENTION THE ABSOLUTE-BEST RIBS,
AND "COUNTRY-STYLE BREAKFASTS"
Here is their web site: http://www.lookoutroadhouse.com/
It has been a while since I ate at Lookout so cannot make any promises, but I do
remember that the view is really great (picture attached) if you eat outside.
Here is the round about route I plan on taking:

Mockingbird to Harley John Rd.
Harley John to Cajalco Rd.
Cajalco to Temescal Canyon Rd.
STOP AT TOM's FARM for a break
15 fwy to Lake St. (if we are early we will continue on Temescal Canyou Rd. to
Lake St.)
Lake becomes Grand
Grand to Ortega Hwy
The Lookout is on Ortega Hwy.
After lunch Ortega Hwy to 5 Fwy.
5 Fwy to home.
