If you know how to  use a phpBB Board Click here to go to our forums. If not don't worry it's easy! Forums like this are an excellent way for us to communicate and are far more efficient than e-mail for kicking around ride ideas etc. The forums work like a bulletin board, you leave a message or "post" and others can view it, reply to it if they wish, and you can reply back to them. You can tell if there is a new post in any given forum by looking at it's "icon". The best way to learn how to use the  forum is to do just that, use it. Below is a little information to get you started.

When you first log on you will see the phpBB logo on the left and some links on the right. If you scroll down you can see the Public forums. These forums are open to anybody and are more general in topic. You will not be able to see the Private forums until you register yourself with the board and I upgrade your user status. Only ADA members will have access to the Private forums.

How to Register: Go the forums page, click on register. Pick a username and password. You might want to write your pass down. The passwords are encrypted and I couldn't view them even if I wanted to. Please pick a user name that other ADA members will recognize or at least let us know who you are in your posts. Mine is Ron C. If you do loose your pass I can always delete your username and you can start over.

Logging in: After you register the next thing to do is Log in. On the right side you will see a link that says "Log in" Click it, then enter the username and password you created during registration. You can log in automatically if you like, just click the little box. After you log in it will say "log out (your username)" . If you don't see the "log out" link your not logged in, click log in again and try it one more time. I have my account log in automatic. The easy and fast way to check for new posts is to auto log in and click the link "view posts since last log on". I also have created a favorites link in my browser so I can go directly to the forums without going to the web page. So two clicks and you can check for new posts.

Private forums: This is where the good stuff is. After you register yourself and log in you still will not see the private forums until your username is upgraded. I will check for new users everyday or so and if I see a user name I recognize I'll upgrade that user. Again, Please use a name that other ADA members will recognize. Best way is to e-mail me with your username and next time you log on you will automatically see the private forums. If your having any trouble at all please e-mail me. I'll leave this page up for a few weeks. After that when you click on discussion forums from the main menu you'll go straight to the forums.
